In 2022, the neighborhood alliance “Marienthal bleibt bunt” came together to raise awareness about the establishment of the student fraternity Burschenschaft Germania in the Hamburg district of Marienthal and to advocate for a vibrant, diverse, and supportive neighborhood.
The Burschenschaft Germania is demonstrably fascist; it stands for a backward-looking ethno-nationalism, racism, anti-feminism, hostility to democracy, and anti-Semitism. We are a non-partisan, grassroots democratic alliance that is networked with other Hamburg initiatives committed to combating right-wing extremism.
